Landmark Education Facility Transformation
Noble Harris advised on the freehold acquisition of this substantial investment / development opportunity for Alfred Equities in 2017. Noble Harris then advised on the comprehensive refurbishment and reconfiguration of the building including new façade treatment, new windows, atrium infill enhancing the net lettable area from 193,000 sq ft to 233,000 sq ft and introducing the creation of terraces throughout. The project was one of the largest Design & Build schemes ever undertaken in Europe.
As project lead, Noble Harris appointed Cushman & Wakefield & Compton as joint letting agents resulting in achieving a fully let building. Following two successful planning applications lodged with the City of London for widened the use from class E1 to a flexible F1 Educational use, the ground to 4th floors totalling approx. 133,000 sq ft have been let to BPP University, with the remaining 5th to 8th floors being Let to Northeastern University totalling approx. 100,000 sq ft, achieving a fully let building.
